Waiting on Wednesday: Tales of the Peculiar

Gee, it's been a while since I've done one of these! This week, I'm still on a Peculiar roll, so I'm picking Ransom Riggs's Tales of the Peculiar! Note: Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme made by Breaking The Spine.

Title: Tales of the Peculiar
Author: Ransom Riggs
Number of Pages: 192 (HB)
Publication Date: September 3, 2016
Publisher: Dutton Books for Young Readers

Synopsis

Wealthy cannibals who dine on the discarded limbs of peculiars. A fork-tongued princess. These are but a few of the truly brilliant stories in Tales of the Peculiar—the collection of fairy tales known to hide information about the peculiar world, including clues to the locations of time loops—first introduced by Ransom Riggs in his #1 bestselling Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series.

Riggs now invites you to share his secrets of peculiar history, with a collection of original stories in this deluxe volume of Tales of the Peculiar. Featuring stunning illustrations from world-renowned artist Andrew Davidson, this compelling, rich, and truly peculiar anthology is the perfect gift for not only fans, but for all lovers of great storytelling.

My hype for this book is real! I recently finished re-reading Hollow City, and I'm keeling over the world again! Ransom's world-building is still so exceptional. And as we know, Hollow City gave us a little sneak peek at two of the Tales' which I'm expecting - Cuthbert the Giant, and the Pigeons of St. Paul's. Gosh, I really can't wait for this book's release! Although I have to admit I'm quite sad that Quirk didn't pick this up. But oh well!

Tell me, what books are you guys waiting for this year? Or next year, even? Comment away below! If you like my posts, please go and follow me to be updated whenever I post bookish stuff!
