Waiting On Wednesday: Gemina

It's time for another Waiting on Wednesday! This week, I'm featuring this really awesome sequel to a really awesome book. I'm sure many of you have read the precious thing called Illuminae. And I'm also pretty sure you're aware of its sequel called Gemina!

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine. Check out their site here to see other WoWs!

Title: Gemina
Authors: Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff
Number of Pages: 659 (HB)
Publication Date: October 18, 2016
Publisher: Knopf Books for Young Readers

Synopsis

Moving to a space station at the edge of the galaxy was always going to be the death of Hanna’s social life. Nobody said it might actually get her killed.

The sci-fi saga that began with the breakout bestseller Illuminae continues on board the Jump Station Heimdall, where two new characters will confront the next wave of the BeiTech assault.

Hanna is the station captain’s pampered daughter; Nik the reluctant member of a notorious crime family. But while the pair are struggling with the realities of life aboard the galaxy’s most boring space station, little do they know that Kady Grant and the Hypatia are headed right toward Heimdall, carrying news of the Kerenza invasion.

When an elite BeiTech strike team invades the station, Hanna and Nik are thrown together to defend their home. But alien predators are picking off the station residents one by one, and a malfunction in the station’s wormhole means the space-time continuum might be ripped in two before dinner. Soon Hanna and Nik aren’t just fighting for their own survival; the fate of everyone on the Hypatia—and possibly the known universe—is in their hands.

But relax. They’ve totally got this. They hope.

 Thoughts

I'm super pumped. Considering that I gave a perfect score for Illuminae (Haven't seen my review? It's HERE), I'm expecting this book to be as amazing as the first, or better. I'm hoping for soooooo many things, not necessarily including a conclusion to the story, since it can be foreseen that there's a lot more to this world.

My hype for this is real. Hoping for the best! I'd really want to see Kady and Ezra again, though. Here's one of my favorite quotes from the book. It's quite known as well, notorious for containing so much feels all in a single question!
Am I not merciful?
